We are hiring: Store Assistant - 12hrs per week
We’re looking for someone special to join our friendly team in Wantage. This is a flexible role with variety, responsibility and plenty of opportunity to grow.
We would like you to bring:
- Be a trustworthy, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a passion for artisan food, cheese and coffee
- Have exceptional customer services skills and a friendly professional manner with great positive energy supporting the brand
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to assist with maintaining accurate stock control and customer/supplier order planning
- Have a strong belief in the Lesley Ford brand - be a brand champion
- Ideally experience in working within the hospitality or fresh food sector and hold a current Food Safety Certificate
- Hold a current driving licence to assist with customer deliveries and order pick-ups, as and when necessary
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Health & Safety regulations relevant to the Business
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor and deli area, ensuring all Food Safety Standards are adhered to
- Serve customers, including using EPOS
- Assist customers with their selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- Making up bespoke gifts in line with the brand
- Working on the coffee machine and deli counter after training
- Assist with open and close-down cleaning, when required
- Receiving and pricing deliveries

- 12 hours per week: Tuesday 10am - 2pm, Friday 10am - 2pm and Saturday 1pm - 5pm
Rate of pay:
- £12.50 per hour
